My sincerest condolences to Kristi’s Family. She was a wonderful, sweet, and caring person. She always had a smile on her face, and a kind word to say whenever we met. I will miss seeing her as my “neighbor” on Kennedy St.
Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. She was so proud of you and the girls. We spent many days with Kristi and her Mom and thought of them as part of the family. She will be greatly missed but is now in heaven watching over all.
Kristie was one of the sweetest, caring people I have ever met. Although I only had the pleasure to know her less than a year, we got along and joked with each other like we were old pals! She is one of kind and will be missed by many folks. My deepest sympathies to all friends and family. Justin
To all the family and and friends of Kristiie my deepest sorrow to you at this time of need God bless. Dennis Turby Trbovich
My family and I wish to offer our deepest sympathy during this time of deep sorrow! Kristie’s spirit imprints love that is an everlasting spark. She and I were childhood friends spending many, many hours romping in the woods behind her house, Neason Hill playground, and down Barton Road. All too soon, my childhood changed, then off to Jr. High and although a small school, we lost track of each other! One of my
fond memories of her, was her introducing me to a new rock group called the Beatles! She loved their music!
Thanks for all the good times Kristie! She truly was a blessing to me! 💕 May God Bless you all! Sincerely, Vicki, Les & Ken Griffin

You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of Kristie. We, the Blanchard family, lived right down the street from the Kightlingers. Rexie and I were high school friends, I went to the same college as Cathy, and Kristie was in the same rock and roll band as my brother. I’ll always remember listening to her impassioned and beautiful singing at Conneaut Lake with the band. “Light My Fire” was one of the songs Kristie could rock out on.Her pure, deep alto voice was a joy to hear.
Those days are long past. But in my memory Kristie is still the rock singer who could really grab the crowd by the throat and howl out.
Reading of Kristie’s passing was like a punch to the gut. We were fellow members of the intrepid “class of ’69 gang” in the MMC OR and working closely with her for over twenty years was always a joyful experience. I have never known anyone as consistently cheerful as was Kristie. Her caring and enthusiasm were infectious and inspiring, despite the sometimes stressful and always challenging nature of our work in the OR and ER. Even after retirement took me out of the hospital environment, I could always count on a beaming smile and an enthusiastic greeting whenever our paths crossed. The world is a darker and less happy place without her. My sincere condolences go out to her family and loved ones.
