Kimberly A. "Mickie" Mong, 54, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, December 12, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca at 6:19 p.m.Born September 22, 1961 in Franklin, Kimberly was the daughter of Richard B. Sr. and Shirley Jolly Mong. She worked as a stocker at Walmart. In her spare time, she enjoyed Nascar and spending time with her dog, Cooper.Kimberly is survived by her mother, Shirley Mong; her brother, Richard B. Mong, Jr., and his wife, Vicki, of Polk; her sister, Michelle L. Mong, of Franklin; her sister, Marcia S. Mong, of Oil City; and her sister, Rebecca L. Kistler, of Franklin.She is additionally survived by her niece, Holly Mong, of Oil City; and her nephews: Andrew (Drew) Mong of Oil City; Christopher Mong of Polk; Tyler Mong, and his wife, Liz, of Cranberry; and Jarrett Mong of Polk. Kimberly is furthermore survived by her great-niece, Skylar Mong, of Cranberry Township; and her great-nephew, Noah Mong, of Cranberry.Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Richard B. Mong, Sr.; her uncles, Michael and Harry Mong; her aunts, June Lynde and Betty Jane Mong; and her grandparents.Per the family's request, no services will be held. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin. I remember working with Kimmy at BiLo on Rt.8…she was such a caring, funny, wonderful person. She will truly be missed. RIP my friend.

I’m so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. I had the pleasure of working side by side with Kim every night for seven years. I will always remember her laugh, her dog stories and of course her big heart. The list of reasons why I will miss her could stretch miles but please just know she will be missed and thought of often by all that knew her. Thinking of all of you.
