  16. To the entire Shaffer family; my sincerest condolences. I cannot imagine a world without Kevin in it. Although I hadn’t seen Kevin for awhile, there was never a day that went by where he didn’t cross my mind. I miss his smile and his laugh the most. Sometimes I even miss the little pouty face he’d make when he didn’t get his way sometimes. There’s so many memories to choose from, I don’t even know where to start. The time we were watching a movie and he fell asleep but insisted he hadn’t and I asked him what we were watching and he said “The Bug Nosed Snots.” It was “The Boondock Saints.” The time we were shopping at second hand stores all morning and he kept complaining about his feet hurting. Four hours later, I looked down and said “Kevin, your shoes are on the wrong feet!” Or the time we got up early to go yard sale shopping with Sue and Melissa and one of the places we hit up was pretty much a table with two women sitting at it and maybe four things. I might have that memory jumbled up, but I know for sure we all had to pull over for at least ten minutes until we could stop laughing. Kevin, I love you. I miss you. I love every moment that I got to spend with you.
“The Arizona sky burning in your eyes, you look at me babe I wanna catch on fire. It’s buried in your soul, like California gold.”
Kevin, I’ll always remember us this way.

  17. Melissa- my heart breaks for you and your family. I will be sending prayers and if you need anything, please let me know! <3

  18. Words can’t express how i feel. I’ve been in shock all week. Kevin was one of my best friends growing up. Tim, Sue, Kevin, and Melissa were one of my second families. I have so many fond memories from going to waldameer, sharing family events, bowling, band, outside fires, building dams, staying up for 24 hours, N64 wrestling and goldeneye, Playstation, Magic the gathering. I’ll miss and I love this kid and wish the best for the family.

  19. I am truly devastated and my heart breaks for his family. I will never forget the fun times we had in band, riding bikes all around town and finding whatever random shenanigans we can get into. Kevin was one of my best friends growing up and I wish I was able to see him in these recent years, but I will always love and cherish the memories we had.

  20. Man, still don’t know what to say. We only met a few years ago, but we had a lot of good times and a lot of memories in that span, and bonfires and holiday get-togethers won’t be the same. I am blessed to have had you for a friend. You are missed.
