Kenneth L. Manross Kenneth L. Manross, 72, of 11375 Pennsylvania Ave., Meadville, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at his residence. Born in Conneautville on March 17, 1936, he was a son of August and Hildegarde Kubaney Manross. On Dec. 11, 1982, he married Janis Conrad. He had been employed by Ma's Root Beer Pop Co. and Mooresville School District in North Carolina. He was also a retail milk man for 24 years with Meadowbrook Dairy, having the largest door-to-door route in the United States. He was a charter member of Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department and Fraternal Order of Eagles Meadville Aerie 429. He liked gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved his family, and loved being with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Janis, survivors include a daughter, Kathy Smith and her husband, Terry, of Harmonsburg; three sons, Timothy Manross and Scott Henry, both of Meadville, and Richard Dahl of Valdosta, Ga.; grandchildren Justin Smith, Cody Smith and his little buddy Brandon Smith, Timothy Manross Jr., Todd Manross and Kristy Manross and Ashley Henry, Courtney Henry, Carol Anne Henry, Janey Henry, Rebecca Henry and Danny Coulter, Dawn Coulter and Dianne Coulter; three great-grandaughters, Emily Van Pelten, Kristie Wiggins and Ashley Wiggins; a sister, Louise Rudy and her husband, Marty, of Cochranton; two brothers, Gene Manross and his wife, Shirley, and Richard Manross, all of Saegertown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Manross, Roscoe Manross and Charles Manross; a sister, Dorothy DeRoss; and a granddaughter, Amber Smith. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner - Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Martin B. Hardy of St. Pauls United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice for their excellent care.
