Kenneth A. Johnson

ERIE " Kenneth A. Johnson, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Presque Isle Rehab & Nursing Center, Erie. He was born in Meadville on March 23, 1934, a son of William and Alice Fox Johnson. He married Gloria Winiecke. He graduated from Meadville High School in 1952, and retired from Meadville Forging as a die sinker in 2001. He was a member of West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Department. He was affiliated with New Beginnings Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Johnson of Meadville; two daughters, Darlene Toney and her husband, Charlie, of Seminole, Fla., and Katherine Johnson of Erie; a son, Douglas Johnson of Meadville; a sister, Charlotte Sutliff and her husband, Bob, of Meadville; a brother, Richard Johnson and his wife, Peg, of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Toney, Donald Gilbert, and Dustin, Harley and Trevor Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard Johnson; and two sisters, Maxine Edge and Elsie Gustafson. Calling hour will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville. The funeral and committal service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Township.
