Karen was a wonderful friend to the McFate family. She took special care of Carol and Bill while they were able to come into Yesterdays and we enjoyed many fun dinners with them on our visits to Oil City. We are quite sad to learn of her passing. We wish you peace in this time of sorrow and many special memories.

I had just heard Thursday that Karen was sick and was heartbroken.
We ate lunch at Yesterday’s very often and also had several Christmas parties there for the Oil City Housing Authority.
Karen was THE BEST. Always accomodating, friendly, making sure her customers had what they needed.
We grew to be fond of each other and I admired her so. I can still hear her saying, “we’ve got chicken and biscuits with REAL mashed potatoes”.
We were very sad when the restaurant closed, but happy for Karen that she would not have more free time. She spoke fondly of spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she talked about all the time.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers in the loss of a wonderful lady. Her spirit will live on in the lives she touched for years to come!
Bonnie, I have been so sorry to hear of Butch and Karen’s passing. We all grew up together, Atlantic Ave, we lived downstairs. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
