SAEGERTOWN - Joseph "Slo Moe" Michael Manross, 34, of Saegertown, passed away, Monday, December 21, 2015 at U.P.M.C. Shadyside after a valiant battle with melanoma. He was born on November 20, 1981, in Meadville, to Clifford L. and Sandra D. Huson Manross. He married Jessica Blystone on September 6, 2008. Joe graduated from Saegertown High School in 2000. He was a varsity wrestler during his high school career. He completed the Tool & Die program through Vo-Tech. He did his apprenticeship at Micro Tool and worked for Laser Tool for the past 10 years as a CNC & EDM Operator. He was a Son at the American Legion, Post 408; VFW Post #169, in Venango; he enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family and friends. One of his favorite evening activities was throwing horse shoes. Joe also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and boating with his girls; he showed 4-H pigs with the Fabulous Farmers 4-H Club and continued to be involved as an adult. He enjoyed Jimmy Buffett concerts every summer and most of all he loved spending time with his girls, wife Jess and long time friends. Joe was always quick to lend a helping hand and a smile or song, He will be missed by many friends and family members. Also his support system nicknamed Team Slo Moe who encouraged and helped along this battle all will miss him dearly. Survivors include his beloved wife, Jess Manross, of Saegertown; two daughters, Campbell Claire Manross and Lennox Rose Manross both at home; his parents, Cliff and Sandy Manross of Saegertown; his father and mother-in-law, Bernie and Larrie Rose Blystone, of Cambridge Springs; his grandparents, Ernest L. Huson and his wife Dixie of Crawford, TN; and August and Shirley Manross of Saegertown; one sister, Rebecca L. Manross and her friend Josh Douglas of Saegertown; brother-in-law, Greg J. Blystone of Cambridge Springs; three nieces, Breanna, Hannah and Savanna Urbanick and nephew Wyatt Douglas. Joe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce E. Huson. Family and friends are invited to call, today, December 22, 2015 to the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., and again Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M.. with Rev. James R. Callender, officiating. Burial will take place at Blooming Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial Donations may be made to the Crawford County 4-H, 13400 Dunham Road, Meadville, PA 16335, to form a scholarship in his name or to the Saegertown High School Wrestling Program, 18079 Mook Road, Saegertown, PA 16433.
