Several years ago I worked as a substitute secretary for Crawford Central School District. Joe was always so nice to me. He was so polite and always stopped in the office to see if there was anything I needed. He always had a smile on his face and that made me feel welcome at his school. He was truly a gentleman.
I met Joey and the Tatters family in 1973 when I worked as a Caregiver for a neighbor of theirs. Joey came over every day after school to talk with me. A life long friendship developed with him and his whole family. I will never forget Joey! RIP Joey.
My deepest sympathies go out to Joe’s family at this sad time of his passing.
Joe was one of my very favorite students in my eighth grade class, and he became my long time friend throughout the years. He was a sweet man and will be missed by all who knew him.
