John L. Combs

John L. Combs John L. Combs, 75, of Franklin, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Born October 21, 1934, in Franklin, he was the son of the late John F. and Frances C. Bucher Combs. Mr. Combs worked for Joy Manufacturing as a mechanic and retired from there in 1999. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; his sisters-in law, Joanne Combs of Franklin and Phyllis Combs of Mentor, Ohio; and his special friend, Violet Rudler of Franklin. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two brothers, Harold L. Combs and Wayne Combs; and his sister, Deloris Faller. Services for John will be held at the convenience of his family. The Gardiner Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
