John H. Peer, 67, of Townville, passed away, at his residence, on Monday, August 1, 2011. He was born in Pinewald, N.J. on June 25, 1944, the son of Howards and Hilda Beisig Peer.
He married Margaret Volk on September 18, 1968, she survives.
John was a model marker (prototype machinist) and he worked on the research and development of the smart bomb.
He loved his woods, pond, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Margaret of 42 years of Townville; three children; John Paul Peer of Mantin, Michigan, Heather Ann Davis and her fiancee Johnny Shirley of Jasper, Georgia, and Holly Irene Beers and her husband Edward of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; Jordan Michael Davis, Marcus Dione Davis, Zachary Preston Clark, Nicholas Beers, and soon to be born Alivia Beers; one sister; Irene Peer of Levittown, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will take place in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.

In the short time we have known John, we realized his passion for the outdoors and his love for the birds and animals that lived in his wooded world. Whenever we wanted help in identifying a particular bird or tree, John would always provide us with the correct name. Hopefully now he can enjoy God’s creations for eternity.
