Joanne Williams

Joanne Williams Joanne Williams, 75, of 13255 Calvin St., Meadville, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie. She was born Dec. 17, 1933, at Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late William and Anna Mae Kajsca Lance. She married Melvin Williams, Oct. 27, 1959. He survives. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed bowling. She had also been a past officer at the animal shelter. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Lance and Anna Mae Lance. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Melvin Williams of Meadville; a son, Russell Williams of Meadville; a daughter, Terry Kelly and her husband, Kevin, of Jacobson, Minn.; a sister, Elizabeth Luce of Cambridge Springs; a brother, Elmer Lance and his wife, Martha, of Meadville; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be conducted Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, with Roger Smith of First Christian Church officiating.
