  1. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. I was an early intervention consultant and closely worked with Joan through the years she was an administrator at local Head Start and daycare programs. She was always a thoughtful, soft-spoken advocate for children, and I always enjoyed our interactions, as she had a dry sense of humor as well! I know she made a difference in the lives of many children, and it was a privilege to have known her.
    In sympathy, Kim Agnew
