Joan Francis Kiser, 83, of Saegertown, passed away, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Crawford County Care Center. She was born March 9, 1929 a daughter of Francis Hamilton and Luella Yoset Hamilton. She married Kenneth Raymond Kiser on October 1, 1949. Joan was a homemaker in her early years raising her children, but she later worked for the Salivation Army as a clerk and as an assistant for Dr. Robert Gilardi. She was a member of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church and the Elks Club Auxiliary. Joan enjoyed quilting and playing cards. She is survived by two daughters, Dana Sliker and her husband Dan of Conneaut Lake and Denise Bowersox and her husband Terry of Meadville; three sons, John "Jack" Kiser and his wife Erlinda of Meadville, Dennis Kiser and his wife LeLani of Fredonia, and Gregory Kiser and his wife Linda of Saegertown; seventeen grandchildren, Leslie, Kenneth, Timothy, Jennifer, Erin, Stephanie, Dennis Jr., Joshua, Christopher, Vincent, Ramsey, Ryan, Travis, Monica, Hilary, Nathan, and Darren; twenty great grandchildren; a brother, Dale Hamilton and his wife Lucille of Meadville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; both her parents; a sister, Unice Watson; a twin sister, Jane Prenatt; and brothers, Audrey, Paul, Jesse, Walter, Waid, Albert, and Martin Hamilton. Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville with a prayer vigil service at 8:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 1:00pm at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church with Father Matthew Kujawinski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Saint Hippolyte Cemetery, Frenchtown. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
