Jesse J. Arthur

Jesse J. Arthur, 89 of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born February 1, 1923 in Conneautville, PA a son of William Arthur and Mary Adkins Arthur. He was a member of VFW Post 2006 and American Legion. Jesse was a World War II US Army Veteran and was of the Presbyterian faith. He worked in the American Postal Workers Union. Jesse is survived by a step-daughter, Carolyn Myers of Pittsburgh; a granddaughter, Jackie Burasworth of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Orval Arthur of Meadville. He was preceded in death by his wife Orpha; his parents, William and Mary; three sisters, Mary, Eileen, and Maxine; and one brother, Chester. There will be a graveside military service on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 17045 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335. Burial will follow the service.
