It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne Biemer Plementosh, a cherished member of the Meadville community. Jeanne, born on March 28, 1930, peacefully departed from this world on November 5, 2024, at Meadville Medical Center at the age of 94.
Jeanne was the daughter of Lawrence Biemer and Ida Mosbacher Biemer. She married the love of her life, Michael M. Plementosh, on August 24, 1963. Jeanne was a dedicated individual, reflecting her commitment through her various employments. She worked diligently at Bailey and Bailey Real Estate, Apex Corporation in the Engineering Department, The Meadville Tribune, and library throughout her distinguished career.
As a graduate of Saint Agatha High School in the class of 1947, Jeanne held education in high regard. She was an active member of the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, Catholic Daughters of America, Elks Auxiliary #219, Business and Professional Women, and Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary. Her love for ceramics, reading, listening to sports on the radio, and crocheting showcased her multifaceted personality.
Jeanne will be dearly missed by her surviving nieces and nephews, Jon R. (Willow) Biemer of Portland, Oregon, Andrea L. (Jeff) Collins of Bay Village, Ohio, Philip A. Biemer of Conneaut Lake, Linda Z. (Rob) Fink of Saegertown, and several other nieces and nephews. Additionally, she leaves behind her special friend Betty J. (Frank) Frisina of Saegertown, sister in law Helen R. Biemer of Conneaut Lake, and cousin Carole Ann Biemer of Lincoln, California.
In the midst of this loss, the family is comforted by the memories she has left behind. Jeanne is predeceased by her parents, late husband, Michael M. Plementosh, and her brothers, John Gordon Biemer and Richard L. Biemer.
The services for Jeanne Biemer Plementosh will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ryan M Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, Saint Agatha, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Kyle Seyler as the celebrant. The burial will then be conducted at Saint Agatha Cemetery in Meadville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeanne’s memory to The Epiphany of the Lord Parish. Let us join together in bidding farewell to Jeanne Biemer Plementosh as we honor her life and pay our respects.
