Jean L. Snyder

Jean L. Snyder, 85, of Mercer Road, Franklin died at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born August 29, 1926 in Hadley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Leah Morrison. Mrs. Snyder was employed as a custodian for Polk Center. She enjoyed Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, fishing, crocheting, playing bingo, and word puzzles. The thing she enjoyed most of all was spending time with her family. Jean was married on November 22, 1958 to Ralph L. Snyder, who preceded in her death on November 3, 1991. She is survived by her two sons, Paul E. Snyder of Franklin and Vance L. Snyder of Houston, TX; brother, Harry Morrison of Miami, FL; sister, Twila Morrison of Sharon; three grandchildren, Evan Snyder, Angela Snyder, and Sarah Snyder; and one great-grandson, Bentley Snyder. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Thomas; and two brothers, Joe Morrison and Earl Morrison. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, following visitation, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Scott Woodlee of Franklin Christian & Missionary Alliance Church officiating. Interment will take place in Hadley Cemetery.
