James Leroy Wilson James Leroy Wilson, formerly of Cooperstown, went home to God on Sunday, January 17, 2010 following an extended illness. James, the son of the late William Francis and Virginia Delaney Wilson, was born July 2, 1939 in Franklin. In his younger, healthier years, Jim played ball for Worden Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and angler, and an accomplished archer, using his recurve on both game and fish. He enjoyed country music, particularly Johnny Cash. One of his greatest pleasures was his many photo albums. Jim also liked discussing history and reminiscing of his childhood in Cooperstown. Jim is survived by his three brothers, Donald and Ronald Wilson, both of Franklin, and Robert Wilson of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his three sisters, Maxine Wilson Tologo, Shirley Wilson Crownoble, and Helen Wilson Boughner; his two brothers, William and Lewis Wilson. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Cooperstown Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Kyle, interim pastor of Utica Presbyterian Church, presiding.
