George A. Krizon George A. Krizon, 95, of Raymilton Road, Polk, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Sugar Creek Station. Born in Raymilton, on July 4, 1916, George was the son of the late Anton J. and Mildred Beach Krizon. He was first married to the former Elsie Jewell, who preceded him in death in 1989. He later married Mary Elizabeth Miller on February 12, 1990, and she preceded him in death in 2004. Mr. Krizon worked for the New York Central Railroad (which became the Penn Central Railroad) as a Track Foreman before his retirement. He was a member of the Polk Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed working on his property cutting wood and clearing roads with his tractor. He also enjoyed traveling, and his Thursday night card games with his brothers and son. George is survived by his son, Glenn Krizon and his wife, Judy, of Polk. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Jimmy Krizon and his wife, Paula, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Mark Krizon of Franklin, Amy Krizon of Cranberry, Julie Karns and her husband, Jeff, of Oil City, and Jody Garich and her husband, Dave, of Erie; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. George is additionally survived by his 4 brothers, Charles Krizon and his wife, Yvonne, John Krizon and his wife, Helen, LeRoy Krizon and his wife, Judy, and Daniel Krizon and his wife, Kay, all of Raymilton; and his 7 sisters, Rose Dick of Polk, Barbara Heasley of Polk, Violet Dilly of Meadville, Della Coursen and her husband, William, of Harrisville, Betty Buckley of Stoneboro, Elzada McFarlane and her husband, Lester, of Apple Valley, California, and Sandy Morrow and her husband, Paul, of Sandy Lake. In addition to his parents, and wives, Mr. Krizon was preceded in death by his son, Jim Krizon; and his 3 brothers, David, Ed and Stephen Krizon; and his sister, Margaret Wike. Family and friends will be received Friday, May 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Diane Whitman, pastor of the Polk Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (PA Division Inc., PO Box 896, Hershey PA 17033-0896).
