Genevieve Jean Zejavac Oroukin, 78, of 105 South Church Street, Linesville, passed away, on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home. She was born on March 24, 1933 a daughter of Joseph Frank Zejavac and Barbara Gergos Zejavac. She married Francis J. Oroukin on June 30, 1973, he survives.
She was a graduate of Linesville High School and was a case worker for the Department of Welfare until her retirement.
She was a member of Saint Philip Church.
Genevieve will be remembered for her love, generosity of spirit, willingness to listen, and doing for others before herself.
Including her loving husband Francis of 38 years, she is survived by a step-daughter, Joann Suther and her husband Kirk; a step-son, John Oroukin; a step-grandson, Joseph Suther; a sister, Francis Williamson of Linesville; a sister-in-law, Yolanda Zejavac of Meadville; a aunt, Ann Shaffer; nieces, Cheryl Ott her husband Don and son Mark Hoegrl all of Linesville, Kathy Zejavac her son Shawn Schmitz his wife Megan, and her daughter Jessica Schmitz all of Meadville, Barbara McKinsey and her husband Russell of Meadville, Diana Zejavac and her children Caitlin, Dennis, and Rachel Hollern all of Erie; a nephew, Joseph Zejavac his wife Nanette and children Micayla, Gabriella and Zoran all of Bradenton, Florida; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph J. Zejavac; and several aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 17th at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Philip Church, 401 South Mercer Street, Linesville, with Father Dennis Veltri, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Philip Cemetery, Linesville.
