I’m so sorry for your lost. Death is truly a tragic thing to deal with. However the bible say that there is going to be a resurrection at Acts 24:15. So we all do have a hope of being reunited with our dead loves ones. (John 5:28,29) We can believe this because God is the creator of life and the one who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died. (Psalm 36:9 ; Acts 17:24,25) He has also resurrected humans in the past and the bible reports eight instances of humans young, old, male and female who were brought back to life on earth. Some had been dead for a short while, but one had been in a tomb for 4 days. (read John 11:39-44) And finally God hates death, he views it as a enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of this resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again, so until that promise is fulfilled may the God Of Comfort be with you during this difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
Charlotte, We received word from Lanny of Sonny’s passing. (He was always “Sonny” to us when we were younger and the cousins got to see each other more often.) Our hearts go out to you at this gigantic lose.
May the Lord surround you with love and be very near you as you pass through these difficult days. We are so very thankful for the days we were able to stay with you and Frank a few years ago with Lanny and Joyce. We shall always have blessed memories visiting with you and Frank, and Uncle Lew and Aunt Charlotte. I can imagine Uncle Lew and Frank are enjoying visiting with Jesus. God be with you.

Uncle Ed and Aunt Lori, we send our sympathies to you and the rest of the Shorts family! We love you both so much! God bless, Becky and boys
Dear Charlotte and family: Sonny is in the presence of the Lord, and I am sure chatting with Uncle Lew. You may have been known as ‘Charlotte #2’ (we know who #1 is) but you are a #1, and a blessing
for your care for Sonny. How wonderful it was when you both came out to Truckee, California (in the high Sierras) to visit us. It was great visiting with you on our trips back to PA and meeting many of his family at your home and at the “old” Shorts Family Reunions. Those were Wonderful times. When we were kids, I only knew Frank as Sonny, and I don’t think it was until I was in my late teens did I learn that his name was Frank! To me he will always me Sonny and he will be missed.
