Frances M. Neider, 99, of 1070 State Route 427, Franklin, died at 10:02 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at Sugar Creek Station. Born Dec. 25, 1908, in Woodcock Township, Crawford County, she was the daughter of Harry J. and Adelaide Humes Hutchinson. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Neider was a member of Lupher Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a long-time member of Bradleytown Grange for more than 50 years. She enjoyed her cats. Mrs. Neider was married to James J. Neider, Sr. on May 10, 1927, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by four children, James J. Neider, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Franklin, Joyce Shoffstall and her husband, Grover, of Franklin, Janet Parker and her husband, Robert, of Avon Lake, Ohio and Gail Shay and her husband, Thomas, of Waterford; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Nellie Bossard and Ethel Burger; and a grandson, Lee Shoffstall. Friends may call from Noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John King of Lupher Chapel United Methodist Church officiating.
