Forrest Ray Beck

MEADVILLE - Forrest "Pete" Ray Beck, 81, of Meadville, passed away, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at home. He was born on May 14, 1936 in Meadville, son of the late Walter and Audrey Emig Beck. He married the love of his life, Gladys Whitman on June 3, 1967. Pete enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Laborer's Union 964. In addition to his wife, Gladys, Pete is survived by his children, Douglas Beck and his wife Amy of Centerville; Jennifer Callender and her husband Scott of Cochranton; Paula Bedow and her husband Tony of Saegertown and Darby Beck and his wife Jennifer of Hartstown; grandchildren, Branden (Randi), Shannon, Bradley and Dillion Beck; Zackery (Kim) and Kayla Callender; Ashleigh, Kelsey (Zack) and Austin Bedow; Megan, Jadah and Darby Beck, Jr., and Branden (Jenna) and Skyler George; great grandchildren, Luka and Stella Beck; Jaxson Bedow; Brayden Beck, Kacey Callender and one great grandson on the way; a sister Helene McCracken and her husband Gary of Hadley; Donald Beck of Meadville; his brother-in-law and best friend Thomas Whitman (Trudy) and several nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog Lucky. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Audrey Beck and brothers, Robert and Alton Beck. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
