Florence Oda Dodge, 76, of Oil City, PA, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, with her family at her side.

Born on October 23, 1948, in Erie, PA, she was a beloved daughter of the late Henry B. and Florence O. (Fulmer) Card.

Florence was a proud graduate of AC Valley High School. She dedicated 15 years of her life as a Residential Service Aide at Polk Center, where she touched the lives of many.

Florence was a loving mother to her children, Lisa McAninch and her companion, Ken Lawson of Oil City, Michelle Dodge of Franklin, Albert S. Dodge, III and his wife Jolene, of Knox, and Lona Haggerty, of Ohio, and her husband Jonathan of Franklin; a cherished grandmother to Guy Dodge, Samantha Buchanan Blizzard, Tevin Testa, Jazzmine Harris, Jordan Dodge, Timothy Wolf, Patrick Haggerty, Sophia Dodge, Ty’shon Law, Michael Dodge, Christopher Dodge and David Latshaw; beloved great grandmother to Avana Dodge, Zavier Dodge, Nova Dodge, Alyce Testa, Amari Nolf, Donna Jo Harris, Gianna Dodge, Symphony Dodge, Luvaya Dodge, Zaiden Vede-Mott, Troy Blizzard, Trent Blizzard. She is further survived by her siblings, Paul Card and his wife, Donna, of Nickleville, James Card and his wife, Kathy, of CT, Anson Card and his companion, Cindy, of Emlenton, Roy Card of Emlenton, Tina Brown and her husband, Bob, of Corsica, Reanie Pannell and her husband, Ron, of Ohio, and Gertie Hanzely of MN. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she devoted her life to their care and happiness.

An avid caregiver, Florence found joy in nurturing her family, her beloved cats, and her beautiful garden. She had a passion for baking and enjoyed creating delightful treats for her loved ones. Florence also loved to work on diamond puzzles and expressed her creativity through various crafting projects. The holidays were always special to her, and she took great pleasure in decorating her home to celebrate each occasion.

Florence will be remembered not only for her kindness and warmth but also for her unwavering spirit and dedication to those she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Leland Mott; 2 infant sisters, 1 infant brother; her siblings Henry Card, Chuck Card, Gladys Tarr, William Card, Sonny Card; and her close friends Jane Ralph and Diane Judson.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323.

In honor of Florence’s memory, the family encourages donations be sent to the funeral home so the family can start a trust for her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  4. Sis the minute you left this earth I believe your baby boy was right there waiting for his momma. I loved all the memories I had with you. From 2 mile run to the alley on Buffalo Street. You have the biggest heart I ever seen in someone. Your smile lit up the room. You will be forever missed. RIH my friend.

    No 2 people are as xevoted to family and devoted to life. Unfortunately Sis was exhausting and wanting to go to heaven. Everyone of the entire relatives in this area tried to come see Grandmother and Great Great Grandma.
    My memory of Sis is that She introduced me to xiamond Paintings. I didnt know that zhe was a lover Lionel Richie. I sang Three Times A Lady to her at Kareokee. Rest in Peace My Friend. Love you Always and will Miss you Dearly

    Your life on this earth Sis was too short. You fought as hard as you could but God had other tasks for you to conquer. All you kids should be so Thank-ful for FANTASTIC Memories of Grandma and Great Grandma. Heaven is where you are right now to all the other Angels. Now you may go and start another New Chapter . In 1976, I meet the CARD family at an early family gathering.. your family excepted me as a brother,,was a special family that should me much LOVE… compassion..for many years..my thoughts and PRAYERS go out to ALL of you…SIS you will be missed by me just like several of your brothers and sisters that has passed away..I look forward to seeing you all in HEAVEN someday also..
