Florence M. Beach

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Florence M. Beach, 84, of Central Avenue Ext., Oil City, died at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Presbyterian Home in Oil City. Born December 15, 1927 in Titusville, she was the daughter of the late William and Elyda Cross Watson. She was married to Orrin (Gene) Beach on April 23, 1945 who preceded her in death on August 20, 1998. Mrs. Beach retired as a housekeeper from the Franklin Hospital. Florence was a member of the First Church of God in Oil City. She enjoyed going to the Oil City Senior Center, going to her churches bible study, and spending time with her family, and her dog Sparky. Florence is survived by her daughter Ruth Burkett and her husband Richard of Oil City, her sister Dorothy Weingard of Oil City, her grandchildren Patty Fike and husband Ron of Franklin, Ronald Hoffman Jr. of Mercer, and Lori McMillen of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; Carrie Hoffman, Jenn, Ryan, Alexander, and Damian Fike, and Jayden Hoffman. In addition to her spouse and parents Florence is preceded in death by her brother William Watson Jr., and her sisters Jane Hull and Maude Beach. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday September 20, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bonnie Stoudt of the Oil City Church of God officiating. Interment will take place in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of ones choice.
