Florence "Fuzzy" G. Houghton Florence G. Houghton, 88, of 351 Causeway Drive, Franklin (formerly of Elk Street and Stuart, Florida), passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2010 at Sugar Creek Station. Born February 1, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Edward Alexander and Florence Foster Graebner. She married L. Dean Houghton June 17, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Houghton was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin; a member of the former Franklin Club and also a member of the Wanango Country Club. Friends may call at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, July 8 from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral Services for Mrs. Houghton will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Francis, interim pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin, presiding. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery. I first met Fuzzy, when I started working with Dean in 1973 at the bank. Then I actually came to know her in 2001/2002. While she was outspoken, she was a lot of fun to be with. She had so many stories of her life and family. Well, she is with Dean now and I believe that is where she would want to be………
I worked with fuzzy through V.N.A. for 3 years and everyday with her held something new for me. She was the most colorful lady I have ever met. She is home now, God bless.
