Esther Wahneeta Smith, 75, of John Brown Road, Guys Mills, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.She was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Meadville, a daughter of Ward Donor and Wahneeta Strickland Donor. She married William L. Smith Jr., April 14, 1953. He survives.She was a homemaker. She was an amazing seamstress for more than 50 years and provided her friends and family with gifts from the heart. She also had worked for Carlisle's in Meadville as a seamstress for several years.She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and was very active in her church, Little Cooley United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school.Survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, William L. Smith Jr. of Guys Mills; a son, Shawn Smith and his wife, Barbara, of Saegertown, three daughters, Syleste (Smith) Foltz of Meadville, Tammy Fink and her boyfriend, Jed Terrell, of Charlotte, N.C., and Katrina Griswold and her companion , Mark Farmer, of Meadville; a brother, William Donor and his wife, Betty, of Union City; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and by a grandson, Tyler.Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Little Cooley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Corner officiating.
