Ernest Leroy Huson, 86, of Andover, Ohio, passed away in his home on November 24, 2023.
Born on April 13, 1937 in Meadville, he was the son of the late Howard Woodrow and Phoebe Marie (Castile) Huson.
He was a graduate of Saegertown High School.
Ernest worked for Pennsylvania Tool & Gauge Company for many years. He also drove log truck in Tennessee where he lived for 20 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andover. He was a Masonic Lodge member in Tennessee and Cambridge Springs and a Kismet Grotto member in Saegertown. He enjoyed coaching the local Little and Senior Leagues and belonged to the Blooming Valley Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed being outdoors to hunt, fish and go camping. His family was very important to him and he loved to spend as much time with them as possible.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dixie; his children Howard Albert Huson and his wife, Linda, of Saegertown, Sandy Manross and her husband, Cliff, of Saegertown; his daughter-in-law Paula Huson of Saegertown; his grandchildren Rebecca Douglas and her husband, Josh, of Saegertown, Amanda Hannold an her husband, Justin, of Muskegon, MI, Howard Huson, Jr and his wife, Alyssa, of Venango, and Victoria Huson of Naples, FL; his granddaughter-in-law Jessica Manross of Cambridge Springs; his great grandchildren Breanna Manross, Hannah Manross, Savanna Manross, Wyatt Douglas, Campbell Manross, Lennox Manross, Maxwell Hannold, Violet Hannold, Moana Huson, Trent Huson, Leroy Huson, and Bella Huson. He is further survived by his siblings Janette Miller of Saegertown and Robert Huson and his wife, Nancy, of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ellen Huson; his son Arnell L. Huson; his grandson, Joe Manross, his brothers, Richard and Tom Huson; and his brother-in-law, Don Miller.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services for Ernest will be held immediately after the visitation on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor David Harris officiating.
Ernest will be laid to rest in the Blooming Valley Cemetery.

Ernie was a great friend him and Dixie was always so nice to our family I have a wood tractor trailer Ernie made for me sits in my living room i think of Ernie every time I see it so sorry for your loss but heaven has gained a good man
