Edna Mae Davis Edna Mae Davis, 87, of 1553 Old Rte 322, Cochranton, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Meadville Medical Center. Born July 15, 1922 in Kent, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Adelle Woods Reid, and was raised by Homer and Nell DeLong. She had been retired from the Pelican Food of Crystal River, Florida, where she had been a manager of the Grocery Store. She was a member of Lupher Chapel, a member of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, and the Utica Senior Group. She enjoyed her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and her many friends. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts and working with flowers. Edna Mae is survived by her two sons, Howard "Skip" A. Barger and his wife, Shirley of Franklin, and Ray A. Barger and his wife, Kate of Towanda, Kansas; and her daughter, Veljean Mushaben of Hannaville. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, John Barger and his wife, Christine of Warminster, PA, Paul Barger of Cooperstown, Cheryl Ferry and her husband, Kip of Hannaville, Shawna McCanless of Wichita, Kansas, Jake McCanless and his wife, Dawn of Tucson, Arizona and Jason Mushaben of Lakeland Florida; 14 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Edna Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Roy Reid; her sister, Ellen Myers; her great-granddaughter, Sommer Barger; and her son-in-law Jerry Mushaben. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, January 13 at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 14, at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Harrietta Serrins from the Reno and Oak Hill United Methodist Churches, presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to Utica Ambulance Service, 3860 Academy Street, Utica, Pa 16362.
