Edna G. Ferry 90, of Meadville died peacefully Sunday, February 11, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Marquette hospice house in Meadville. She was born February 5, 1928 in Meadville, daughter of Harry and Loretta Callahan. She married Kenneth Ferry Jr. on May 15, 1948. Edna worked at Spencer Hospital and then became a stay at home mom when her children were born. Her greatest joy in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She love to cook, play bingo and any card game was always a favorite. She was a member of Saint Brigid Church. Survivors and include a daughter Jean Marie (Gary)Bosco, three sons, John S (Kathryn) Ferry, Kenneth M (Tammy) Ferry, Richard A (Cheryl) Ferry all of Meadville; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Dinsmore of Meadville, sister in laws; Judy Edwards, Alabama and Joyce Smith, Florida; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Loretta Callahan, her husband Kenneth Ferry Jr., a son Robert E. Ferry, two brothers Harry and James Callahan, three sisters; Ann Kightlinger, Marie Jennings, and Mildred Karns. Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday, February 14th from 4 PM to 7 PM at RYAN M. WARREN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville with a prayer vigil service to be held 6:15 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10 am at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville with Father Tom Trocchio, Parochial Vicar, as celebrant and Rev. Dennis Chludzinski doing the eulogy. Burial will be in Saint Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.   1. looks like heaven just got another angel. edna was one of the most understanding, forgiving, generous and loving person i think i ever was lucky enough to know. she always had open arms for a hug. i always told people she was a perfect mother-in-law. she always made the best of any situation no matter how bad you thought it was. please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God rest her soul.
