Good guy RIP Doug
About 20 years ago Doug was over our house helping Luke fix a clutch on a dirt bike. My daughter Andrea was out watching them. Luke come in the house and said Doug was finishing up. About 15 minutes later Doug brings in Andrea covered Head To Toe with grease. I said what happened? He said, well she wanted to help. I had to use Dawn dish soap to get the grease out of her hair. Doug just thought that was hilarious. He would bring this memory up everytime I would see him in the Last 8 Years. Another memory was about thirty years ago. Doug and some other friends come over to help us put a roof on our house. I don’t like Peppers so I don’t know anything about them well we had some peppers in our freezer so I loaded the pizza up with peppers. Jalapeno peppers. That pizza was so hot. I told them they didn’t have to eat it. Doug said you made it for us, I’m going to eat it. He had sweat pouring down his face but he ate it. He just thought it was hilarious I couldn’t cook. Doug was always a good guy. He will be deeply missed. Sending my condolences to you Betty and Pam and the family. Sorry for your loss

Betty and Pam, I’m sorry to hear of your loss. May the Lord comfort you in this heart wrenching time. I hadn’t seen Doug in a long, long time but had conversed with him a couple of times on FB in the last year or so. Although not having seen him in person, I hold a lot of good memories of spending time with him especially at a young age up on Buttermilk Hill. Trekking across the woods separating our properties and doing what young boys do. Mischievous little devils at times but having lots of fun ! I especially remember riding with him in the “Whoopee” and “whooping it up ” alright. Those were the days long before we could drive and what a treat Betty ! I appreciate you and Frank giving us the opportunity to go out and roar around. I also treasure all the 4-H and scout cookouts we had up at your place. Lots of memory makers. Once again…my heartfelt sympathies to you. Phil Hefferman

Going to miss you my friend until we meet again rest in peace and fly high
