Dorsie Jean Coulson, 79, of Townville passed away on July 14, 2024 at UMPC Hamot with her family by her side. Born on February 11, 1945 in Procious, WV, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Truman Hodge and Ardealia (Falls) Mack. She married the love of her life, Fred Allen Coulson. They were married 62 years and he survives.
Dorsie worked as a home health aide for Helpmates and enjoyed working with the elderly. She was a faithful member of the Diamond United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening (especially her flower garden), reading, and watching wildlife. She also liked to do word searches, put puzzles together, and collect music boxes.
Left to cherish her memory along with her husband, are her children David Allen Coulson of Townville, Sandy Conner and her longtime companion, Russ Duffy, of Conneaut Lake, Kimberly Baker and her husband, Scott, of Titusville, and Pamela Smith of Townville; her grandchildren Nathan, Jessica, Crystal, Brandi, Broc, Clint, and Damon; and her 12 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters Ellen Ogrisseg and her husband, John, and Linda Falls all of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sisters, Ruth Ann and Joyce Ann; her siblings, Russell “Sonny” and Lee Starcher, Mary Starcher-Snyder; her grandson Ben Wanker.
Family and friends are welcome to the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home, 33353 North Main Street, Townville on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services for Dorsie immediately following at 12:00 pm with Pastor Gary Kinnear officiating.
Dorsie will be laid to rest in Kinsley Cemetery, Townville, PA.
