Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Oh, the good times we had at Cherry Run Camp. Such sweet memories we share.
She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a true servant of Christ. She now is hearing “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into your rest.”

Praying the Comforter will be by your side as you say goodbye for now.

  2. Dorothy, Earl, and family were a great blessing to me and my family during the years I was privileged to be pastor at the East Grove Church. They were very deeply involved in the church and also became involved in Cherry Run Camp. Dorothy was a gracious lady of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She will be missed but we have our Lord’s promise of reunion in a trouble-free Heaven with no separation ever again!

  3. So sorry for your loss . My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I always enjoyed seeing and talking with Dorothy. Always had a smile . May God Bless.

  4. I have such wonderful memories of my Aunt Dorothy. She was always so much fun to be around and I’m going to miss that contagious laugh of hers. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and daughter – and a great friend to all who knew her. She made the world a better place while she was here and will be truly missed. Farewell, Aunt Dorothy. I was so blessed to have you in my life and will always remember you with love and affection.

  5. I was just informed an hour or so ago that my Aunt Dorothy is no longer with us, and I do not exaggerate or stretch the truth when I say that she is perhaps the kindest, most decent, most generous, most loving, and most genuine person I’ve ever known. Case in point: When I enrolled in aircraft maintenance school almost 3 decades ago, I needed $500 in order to buy the tools required for the training, and I just had nowhere or no one to whom I could go to get it. And even though I had not seen or even spoken to her in years, she loaned it to me. I still owe her that money, and, of course, she’ll never get it. But I know that the generosity and love that this act of kindness represents proves that Aunt Dorothy has but left here to dwell elsewhere in a more beautiful place, and the respect and love that I feel for her will never die, just as her soul and spirit will continue on and on and on…. In this I truly believe because her faith has taken her home where she will dwell with the Almighty and the angels forever.

  6. Aunt Dorothy was one of the sweetest People I have ever know. Even though we haven’t seen each other in many years, she was thought of often as well as Uncle Bus, Kathy, Linda, and Allen. She will always be remembered. Love Ya’ll.

  7. Dot was a valuable member of the Franklin Women’s Softball League around 1978????

I was on her team. I remember that she was a great hitter when at bat and played the field on defense just as well!

I was my pleasure to have known her for a short period of time.
