Dorothy K. Johnson, 79, of Franklin, passed away on November 8th at 3:19 p.m. at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.Born January 31, 1936 in Huey, Dorothy was the daughter of the late John W. and Betty E. Logue Kunselman. She married James R. Johnson, who survives.In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and playing in area card clubs. She also enjoyed bird watching on her front porch with her dog, Lady.In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her son, Carl R. Johnson, and his wife, Brenda, of Franklin; her daughter, Raylene Johnson (Bean) of Franklin; her daughter, Rene Wendy Funk of Linville Falls, NC; her brother, John S. Kunselman, and his wife, Rita R., of Fullerton, CA; and her sister-in-law, Betty Kunselman, of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Angela R. Fontana of Norwolk, OH; Jimmy Joe Funk of Linville Falls, NC; and Haley R. Bean of Franklin; as well as her great-grandchild, Octavia S. Fontana of Norwolk, OH. Dorothy is additionally survived by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Carl W. Kunselman; and an infant brother, Arden Lee Kunselman.Family and friends will be received at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin, on Wednesday, November 11th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Garden.The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301.To send online condolences, flowers, cards, or for further information, friends and family are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
