Dorothy H. Leffingwell, 96, of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, January 18, 2023 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on March 20, 1927 in Widen, West Virginia, a daughter of John E. Schuster and Agnes Lahoda Schuster. She married William Leffingwell on May 6, 1953. She was a graduate of Meadville Area High School and was employed at American Viscose for over 40 years until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of the Epiphany of the Lord Parish where she was active in the Alter Rosary Society, the church choir, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Elks Club and past member of the Meadville Medical Center auxiliary. In addition to her husband, William "Bill" Leffingwell of Meadville; she is survived by two sisters, Jenny Kelyman of Conneautville and Betty Noel of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Turchan; a brother, Edward Schuster; two brother in laws, Paul Kelyman and Robert Noel; and a niece, Cindy Kelyman. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, January 22nd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. A prayer vigil service will be held at 6:30pm A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:00am at the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, Saint Brigid Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville, with Father Kyle Seyler, Parochial Vicar, as celebrant. Burial will take place at Saint Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township. In lieu of flowers, memory donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335.
