Dorothy E. Burek

Dorothy E. Burek, 80, of Union City, passed away, Friday, October 6, 2023 at home. She was born on January 26, 1943 in Erie, a daughter of Dorothy and Walter McCall. She was a graduate of Ft. LeBouef High School, employed at Cherry Hill in Union City, and a member of St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, birds, and loved time out at the farm. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dorothy C. Fish and her husband, Randy of Charleston, South Carolina, John D. Burek and his wife, Michelle of Union City, and Michael P. Burek and his wife, Lori of Union City; grandchildren, Michael Fish and his wife, Jessica, Christine Lynch and her husband, Travis, Jason Burek and his wife, Paris, Brittany Burek, and Cora Lee Burek; great-grandchildren, Abby, Robbie, Zach, Gabe, Aurora, Eliana, Harrison, Ariel, Amelia, and Frankie; step-children, Richard Kesselring and his wife, Alison, Jamie Kesselring and his wife, Jeanie, and Sheena Chollak; step-grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Garrett, Logan, Jensen, Kempton, James, and Grant; and a sister, Dorrie Brown of Florida. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Burek; longtime companion, Tom Kesselring; a brother, Bill Erdman; and a grandson, Shane Burek. Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday, October 11th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12th at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Matt Price, officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Mill Village Cemetery.
