Dorothy Burnisky

HAVERTOWN - Dorothy Burnisky, 90, of 639 Ellis Road, Havertown, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Cornelia-Nixon-Davis Nursing Center. She was born in Allport on Aug. 20, 1919, a daughter of Frederick and Mary Evonco Spanogle. She was a life-long resident of Delaware County and retired as a nurse from Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a son, Fredric Burnisky; a daughter, Alexis Burnisky Wilson; two grandchildren, Courtney Keppelman and Sabrina Lee Burnisky; and a sister, Shirley Spanogle. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Richmond United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Bobin of the church officiating. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, Main Street, Townville, a branch of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home.
