Dorothea "Dot" M. Andrews, 91, of Union City, passed away, Friday, January 27, 2023 at Edinboro Manor. She was born August 13, 1931 in Mio, Michigan, a daughter of Hubert and Lillian Bugbee LeCureux. She married Steve Andrews on October 7, 1950, he preceded her in death on May 26, 2007.
Dorothea graduated from Oscoda Area High School in Michigan and worked in the Union City High School Cafeteria, Quality Market as a deli clerk, as well as working at Steve's Restaurant in Union City that she and her husband owned and operated. She was a member of Saint Teresa of Avila Parish where she was active in the Alter Rosary Society.
She was also active in the Union City Senior Center and Boy Scouts. Dot loved baking, feeding her family, reading, and traveling all over the United States with her husband. Everyone loved her sweet smile.
Dot is survived by two daughters, Diane Peterson and her husband, James of Union City and Sandra McClellan and her husband, Phillip of Union City; two sons, Stephan Andrews of Missouri and Lawrence Andrews and his wife, Terri of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald LeCureux and his wife, Beth of Oscoda, Michigan.
In addition to her loving husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; three brothers; and an infant daughter, Mary Anne Andrews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 2nd from 10:00 am to 11:30am at Saint Teresa of Avila Parish, 9 Third Avenue, Union City. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30am with Father Thomas Suppa, as celebrant.
