Donald Eugene Sheffer Donald Eugene Sheffer, 45, of Tylersburg Road, Tylersburg, PA, passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Born September 10, 1965, in Franklin, he was the son of Donald C. and Savinna Doverspike Sheffer. Don was a 1983 graduate of Franklin High School. He was actively involved in Scouting, where he was a Cub Scout Master for over 12 years and also a Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was married on July 17, 2005 to the former Carmen Geer. Don worked as a Truck Mechanic for Hafer Trucking, before he became disabled. In addition to his parents, Donald and Savinna Sheffer, of Cochranton, Don is survived by his six children: Shawn M. Sheffer of Cooksburg, PA; Adam N. Sheffer, stationed in Afghanistan; and Donald E. Sheffer, Jr., of Tylersburg; Marissa N. Sheffer; Kaylyn M. Sheffer; and Abigayle R. Sheffer, all of Tylersburg. He is also survived by his brothers: John W. Sheffer, and his wife, Hallie of Fairfield, PA; George C. Sheffer and his wife, Juanita, of Greenville, PA; Harry E. Sheffer and his wife, Marsha, of Smethport, PA; Dale A. Sheffer of Cochranton; and Mark A. Sheffer and his wife, Tabitha, of Spring Branch, Texas; and his sisters: Linda S. Wareham and her husband, Ronald, of Stoneboro, PA; and Patricia L. Paris and her husband, Tim, of Plainfield, Indiana. Additionally, Don is survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brandon M. Sheffer; his paternal grandparents, John and Laree Sheffer; and his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Mabel Doverspike. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 17 at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Borger, pastor of Titusville First Baptist Church presiding. Interment will follow in the Knox Union Cemetery.
