Donald Eugene Judy, 67, of Apple Street, Franklin, died at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Caring Place in Franklin. Born August 26, 1945 in Franklin, he was the son of the late John A. and Geraldine Vogan Judy. Mr. Judy served in the Army and was a Vietnam War Era Veteran. He was employed as an inspector for Joy Manufacturing. Donald was a member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Steelers fan. Donald is survived by his son, Don Judy, Jr. and his wife, Bobbi of Franklin; two brothers, John William (Bill) Judy and his wife, Betty of Johnson City, TN, and Jim Judy of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren Kylie Judy and Ally Judy of Franklin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home, following visitation, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Scott Woodlee of the Franklin Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will take place in Old Sandy Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Central Region, Inc., PA Western Region, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620. I am so very sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I know how you are feeling Don. It’s a terrible thing to lose your Dad. Keep your memories close to your heart and visit them often.
