Born in: Corry, Pennsylvania

Dolores Kay, 'Dee', Donovan, 68, of Centerville, peacefully entered the presence of her Savior on Friday, November 24, 2023, at her home. She entered this world on January 6, 1955, in Corry, Pennsylvania, the sixth daughter of Thomas I. Smith and Marjorie L. Miller Smith. She married 'the best man that ever walked this earth', Bradley James Donovan, on April 9, 1977. Her heart was shattered when he preceded her in death on July 16, 2019. Dolores was a 1973 graduate of Titusville High School and made homemaking her passion. Her heart and her home were always open to her loved ones, her giving spirit knew no boundaries. Dee was a Godly example to her daughters and grandchildren, encouraging them often in their lives. Every grandchild was treasured by her. Always greeted warmly with a hug and when time to leave, went home with a treat from 'the basket'. She loved to hear stories of what they were doing, no matter their age. Left behind to carry on Dolores's memory are her two daughters, Emily Kerr and her husband, Kyle, of Titusville, and Abbi Martin and her husband, John, of Titusville; grandchildren, Kaleb and his wife Megan, Zachary, Benjamin, Levi, Joshua, Izannah, Lukas, Curtis, Autum, Leah, and Uriah; six sisters, Gladys Snee and her husband James of Titusville Jacque Dickinson and her husband Nathan of North East, Jeannette Thornton and her husband Gary of Titusville, Dana Kellogg of Sarasota, Florida, Beth Sterner and her husband Robert of Oil City, and Freda Stoke and her husband Rich of Conneaut Lake; and many other extended family members. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Cheryl Hinderks; and a half-brother, Dale Smith. A memorial service to celebrate Dolores's life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, at the First Baptist Church in Titusville. The family will be receiving those who wish to pay their respects, share a memory or simply give a hug at 11 a.m. Beginning at 12 p.m., a service will be held to honor the beautiful woman that we were so blessed to know. Those wishing to remain for a meal with the family immediately following the service are welcomed to do so. Her final resting place will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Centerville, beside her adored husband. Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on Dolores' Book of Memories online at www.WarrenFH.com. Arrangements are gratefully in the care of Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville.

  1. Aunt Dee always had a smile on her face. She was very caring and made everyone feel like family. She loved God and was a great example.

  2. Dear Emily, Kyle and family, may the Lord bless and carry you all through this time of grief. Our deepest condolences.

  3. She started texting me one evening after she had been with her family and told me she didn’t know how to be around loving couples that were happy. I told her to just pray when she was with them and go home and have a good cry and thank God for them. She said that people were telling her she should be better. (This is not to make anyone feel bad. It’s just what we talked about.) I told her that it took me 6 years before I even started feeling like myself and to not let anyone tell her she should be “over it”. I told her she should grieve as long as she needed to. There is no time limit on grief. I’m going to miss our talks.

  4. Dolores used to send me littlethings that she made and one in particular was how God loves everyone love you sister
