Diane M. Bowen, 75, of Union City, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2026. Born on August 19, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Meredith and Margaret Ann Paliyn English. Diane married her beloved husband, Rodger D. Bowen, on May 11, 1968, and they enjoyed nearly 58 years of love and companionship.

A proud graduate of North High School’s Class of 1968, Diane went on to pursue business studies in Colorado. Throughout her life, she had a knack for numbers and worked as a business accountant for Waterford Sand and Gravel. She also spent time working with Builder’s Supply and had fond memories of serving as a waitress at Countryside Grille in Union City.

Beyond her professional life, Diane was known for her love of music. She sang with the band Dry Creek Canyon while in Colorado and later with Southern Rain back in Pennsylvania. Her passions included singing, gardening, traveling, and the occasional adventurous trip to the casino. Above all, Diane cherished moments with her family; they were her number one priority, and she loved to keep busy.

Diane is survived by her husband, Rodger; two daughters, Tracy (Arthur) Hamrick and Melissa (Todd) Morris, both of Union City; grandchildren, Amera (Luke) Olley, Joshua Hamrick, Kaitlyn (Matt) Krause, and Brooke Morris; great-grandchildren, Taylor Olley, Samuel Olley, Natalie Olley, and Clara Hamrick; one sister, Karen Suback of Ohio; three brothers, John Mangol of Waterford, Dave Mangol of Union City, and Tom Mangol of Ohio; and nephew Jason Daley

She is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, May Arnold and Lewis Bowen; two brothers, Meredith and Dale English; and one brother-in-law, Jeff Suback.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at a later date, and her family looks forward to sharing stories and memories with all who knew and loved her. Diane’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who were blessed to have her in their lives.

    A simple cup of her good coffee, sitting around her kitchen table with Rog , talking about music and the never ending remodeling of her home and just laughing..
    Playing music together with her beautiful voice was a blessing as well and sharing a part of my life with an angel on earth.
