Diana Traynor Pollard

MEADVILLE - Diana Gayle Pollard, 73, of Meadville, passed away at the Crawford County Care Center. She died peacefully, surrounded by her immediate family until the very end. Diana was born on June 4, 1941 in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada to the late Thomas and Delia Gardner Traynor. She worked as a volunteer at the Meadville Medical Center Gift Shop and also at the Dairy Hut. Diane was an avid reader, a lover of the natural world and a gardener. She was strong in her faith and put that strength into volunteering her time to St Agatha's parish over the years via the Altar Rosary Society. She loved to read and write poetry and she was an excellent cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Gens of Youngstown, OH; and Deanna Pollard of Meadville; two sons, Michael Pollard and his wife Denise of Meadville; and Kevin Pollard and his wife Jennifer of Washington, PA; five grandchildren, Annamarie Uplinger, Michael Pollard, Jr., Laura Pollard, Leah Pollard, and Tommy Pollard; and her great grandson, Kayson Eley. Also her cousins Velia Collins and Veronica Nyman, in Canada. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas Pollard, a son, Dana Pollard, Grandson Brenden Uplinger and sister, Judy Uhlman. Friends and family are welcome to call Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.. There will be a mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.. Burial will take place at St. Agatha Cemetery.
