It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diana L. Shaffer, who passed away peacefully at home on 10/10/2026 at the age of 71.
Born in Cumberland, MD on May 22, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lillian Dennis. On December 15, 1974, she married Robert W. Shaffer, who survives at the residence. Together they shared over 51 years of marriage, partnership, and cherished memories.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Diana is survived by her sons, Donald (Karen) Shaffer, Michael (Tiffany) Shaffer, and Philip (Tawnya) Shaffer; six grandchildren, Landon, Lukas, Lakenn (Donald), Alexandra (Michael), Carter, and Trevor (Philip); and a sister, Janet Presnell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was closely connected to her family.
Diana enjoyed spending time at the beach, camping, fishing, being with her family, and trying her luck at the casino. Diana will be especially remembered by close friends by her baking, fried chicken patties, Mrs. Shaffer’s Hot Dogs and her amazing fudge. She appreciated time spent with those close to her and created memories with her family throughout the years. Diana will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kaitlynn Shaffer (Philip).
