Dale J. Spencer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on April 4, 1955, in Bear Run, PA, and spent most of his life in Union City, PA, where he built a life filled with love and laughter.
Dale attended Punxsutawney High School before entering the workforce, where he made a name for himself as a dedicated Glue Wheel Operator and floor controller at Cherry Hill Ethan Allen. Over the years, he also worked at the Minuteman Gas Station in Union City, Ranchers Family Restaurant, Clear Lake Lumber, Hamot Hospital, and the Days Inn in Erie.
Dale married his sweetheart, Annette M. Culver, on October 7, 1978, and together they created a warm and loving home filled with cherished memories. Dale was a proud Den Leader for Pack #164 in Union City for 10 years, guiding and mentoring countless kids in the community. His love of the outdoors shined through in his hobbies – he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, always finding joy in the simple moments spent with family and friends. Above all, Dale loved being a grandpa, filling his grandchildren’s lives with stories, laughter, and unforgettable adventures.
Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Annette M. Spencer, and their three children: Heather M. Vincent (Joe Hamrick, II) of Union City, Jennifer M. (Jeremy) Prelog of McKean, and Jason M. (Kim) Spencer of McKean; friend: Brandon Wayne Ashberry of Georgia. He was a proud grandpa to Kylie Vincent (Nate Sigrist), Andrew Spencer, Thomas and Kaitlyn Greer, Jackson and Avery Spencer, and Raegan, Makaela, and Dakota Parsons, as well as two great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Remi Sigrist. He was also blessed with the love of his siblings: seven sisters-Amanda Deal of Jacksonville, FL; Gerlanda (Wolfgang) Lama of Germany; Rose Gibson of Union City; Helen (Blair) Williams of Corry; Margaret (Bill) Slagle of Corry; Anna (Jim) Dolan of Canadohota Lake; and Vivian (Bo) Wingert of Big Run, PA-and two brothers, Earl and Robert Spencer of Union City. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Kendra Roscinski.
There will be a visitation at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City on Wednesday, July 29th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Jerry Spencer officating.
