Clarence "Ike" Robert Keener, Sr. Clarence "Ike" Robert Keener, Sr., 69, of McCalmont Street, Franklin, passed away, at his residence on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Born January 3, 1942, in Jackson Township, Ike was the son of the late James C. and Dora H. Morrison Keener. He was married to the former Carol S. Blair on August 7, 2009, and she survives. Ike was retired from Pennzoil after working as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, the Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department, and CMA. In addition to his wife, Ike is survived by his sons, Ike Keener, Jr. and his wife, Robin; Ed Keener and his wife, Cindy; John Keener and his wife, Tammy; and Dusty Keener and his wife, Bobbi; his daughters, Gina Latchaw and her husband, Elton; and Amanda Keener; and his step-children, Shellie Collins and her husband, George; Julie White and her husband, Robert; Paula Fitzgerald; Joey Fitzgerald; Brenda McCarty; and Valerie Fields. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Keener of Ridgeway, Jimmie Keener and his wife, Sandy, of Franklin; David Keener of Utica; and Melvin Keener and his wife, Diane, of Chapmanville; and his sister, Marilyn Sherman and her husband, Dan, of Wattsburgh. Ike is additionally survived by his 8 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Ike was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Keener, Dick Keener, and Marvin Keener. Family and friends of Ike will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral Services for Ike will be held at the Funeral Home at 2 p.m. following visitation. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
