Clarence D. Pete Sisney, 821 Belmar Road, Franklin, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September, 20 2013. Clarence was born on May 7, 1929 to Clarence L. and Veda Small Sisney in Rocky Grove, Sugarcreek Twp. Clarence attended schools in Norristown, PA, the Lincoln Country School on Congress Hill Road and Franklin High School. IN 1947 Clarence joined the Armed Forces. While serving our country he was stationed in Korea; Greenland; Alaska; Azores; North Africa; Okinawa. After 20 years of service he retired as a Staff Sergeant from the Air Force. Once he retired, he lived in Neah Bay, Washington. There he worked for the Civil Service at a Radar Station. Upon his returning to Venango County, he worked for Allied Security and Venango Manor as a Security Guard from which he retired in 1995. On September 22, 1980 he married Margaret L. Dolan. They enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting and dining out together. He and Margaret each had a great love of nature and horses. Clarence was a life time member of the V.F.W. Jesse G. Greer Post #1835. Clarence is survived by his current wife and four children; Clarence D. Sisney Jr. and his wife, Okie, of Korea, Donald Dechristafaro, Daniel Parrish, and Veda Godbee and her husband, Clarence, all of Georgia; one sister, Patricia Hays of Franklin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His previous wives Dorothy Thompson and Francis Moore; his parents and an infant sister preceded him in death. A Grave Side service for Clarence will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Graham Cemtery Chapel, Belmar Road, Franklin, with Rev. Gary Small from the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, Officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Human Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301 and/or a charity of ones choice.
