We are saddened to announce the passing of Cindy L. Lent, a beloved member of the Union City community who passed away on September 28, 2024 at Corry Manor. Cindy, born on September 16, 1958, was a vibrant woman known for her love of playing pool in the women's league and spending leisurely days on her pontoon boat at Canadohta Lake. Throughout her life, Cindy was a dedicated business owner, running the popular Country Cafe' in Union City and Country Cookin' in Wattsburg and North East. She took pride in her work in the food service industry, always ensuring her customers left with a smile on their face. Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Wally Lent of Union City, her sons Ryan Kowalski and his wife Jennifer of Ohio and Michael Kowalski of Ohio, and granddaughters Skylar and Brooklyn, and one brother and three sisters. A visitation honoring Cindy's life will be held at the Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. on October 3, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Union City Food Pantry, located at 1 Hogan's Alley, Union City, in Cindy's memory. Your support during this time is greatly appreciated. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Leland Thompson, her mother, Kay E. Lindenberg Thompson, and brother, Bruce Thompson Private burial will take place in Wattsburg Cemetery. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City.   1. I worked with Cindy at sams club and was shocked to hear she passed. She was always a vibrant person and full of spunk. She will be missed. My sincerest, heartfelt condolences to her family.

  2. I still can’t believe this is real. I worked with Cindy at Sam’s club, first as a fellow cashier and then as her Team Lead. She was always on her game and knew her stuff. She was funny and compassionate and a great friend. She always had great advice when I came to her and listened when needed. I wish we had more time with this ray of light. No more suffering, just peace. You will be missed Cindy ❤️

  10. So sorry for your loss and so sorry to hear this. I met Cindy at the restaurant in Union City she was always friendly and kind. She new what she was doing and had a good heart. She had a flare of spunk and sass. I sometimes would go there just to talk and listen to her will she worked, she sure was a hard worker. I made her a crochet doll and she loved it. It was good to bring a smile to her. Fly with the angels you will be sadly missed.

  11. Cindy was my cousin and I can remember her babysitting me as a kid. I always thought she was so pretty and I remember riding around in her Ford Bronco singing along with 8 tracks she would play lol
    She was very cool and fun and I remember her telling me when she would be putting on suntan oil to lay out that “tan fat is better than white fat” any day lol
    She was and still is a fire cracker ❤️

  12. Q: How did you meet Cindy?

    A: I met Cindy when we worked together at Sam’s Club. I love how sassy she was. We would always sass each other. I will miss her dearly.
