Christopher Alan Stubbe

October 7, 1978 ~ May 29, 2025

Born in: Meadville, Pennsylvania
Resided in: Wattsburg, Pennsylvania

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher Alan Stubbe, who left us unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on October 7, 1978, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Chris was a kind soul who made a lasting impact on everyone he met.

He grew up in the area and was a proud 1997 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. Chris found joy driving a bus for the Wattsburg School District, where he became a familiar face to countless students. He was also a dedicated coach to his son, Carter, in Little League Baseball, sharing his love of the game and instilling values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Chris had a passion for the outdoors-he loved fishing, camping, boating, and just soaking up the sun. Whether it was mowing the lawn or spending time on the baseball field, he cherished every moment with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Danielle, of Wattsburg, and their son, Carter. He leaves behind his parents, David and Janet Stubbe of New Port Richey, Florida, a sister Michelle L. Stoyer and her husband Bondy of Meadville, a brother in law Jared Vogel of Cambridge Springs. Chris was also a cherished uncle to six nephews Travis, Collin, Liam, Ethan, Finn, and Rogan Vogel all of Cambridge Springs, and two nieces Kristi and Emily Stoyer of Meadville, and he had a special bond with his lifelong friend Billy Galford of Wattsburg. In-laws Michael and Kim Vogel also survive him, along with many extended family members and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Alice Burnell, paternal grandparents Albert Stubbe and Adele Smith, best friends Jeremy Bundy, Paul Griffith, Rob Finch, and Wally Beier, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on Monday, June 2, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 62 South Main Street, Union City. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 pm, where we will come together to celebrate Chris’s life and the joy he brought to all of us.

Memorial donations may be made in Chris’ memory to Wattsburg Area Little League, PO Box 1, Wattsburg, PA 16442.

  5. Dear Danielle,
I am so very, very sorry to learn of the loss of your husband, and for your son’s loss of his dad. I cannot begin to imagine the heartache and pain you are feeling. The best I can offer is to say that when you are at your lowest, and feel that God has completely abandoned you, and left you all alone, just remember that the single set of footprints you are seeing are not your own. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will never, ever leave you alone to face each day that is coming ahead of you. That lone set of footprints are His. He is carrying you, and He will carry you and be there for you each and every day. Lean on Him, cry out to Him, whenever you need Him, He is always there. I will be keeping you and Carter in my prayers. Sending you some hugs since I now live in Massachusetts and cannot come to give them in person. All of my condolences and love.
