Cecelia B Koczwara

Cecelia B. Koket Koczwara, 99, of Meadville, passed away, peacefully at Wesbury on March 13, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born in Meadville, PA on November 17, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Starczewski) Koket. Cecelia married the love of her life, Joseph Koczwara, who preceded her in death on September 29, 2006. She enjoyed going on walks, sewing, canning vegetables from her garden, bingo, and dancing. She was a lifelong member of VFW 2006 and Saint Brigid Roman Catholic Church. She was previous employed at Talon. Left to share her memories is her daughter, Karen Sue Gibbs and her husband Robert of Meadville; grandchildren, David Joseph (Lauren) Gibbs and Kelly Ann (James) Curley; great-grand daughter, Coryn Rose Marranconi, and another great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Sonowski, Sophie Kaster, Helen Suskey, Genevieve Hilsheimer, and Anna Teresa Powell; and her brothers, John Koket and Edward Koket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:00 am at Saint Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville, with Father Jeffrey Lucas, as celebrant. Cecelia will be laid to rest at Saint Brigid Cemetery, Meadville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
