Catherine E. Hegadore

Catherine E. Grossman Hegadore, 71, of Meadville, went home to be with Lord and Savior, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on July 2, 1943 in Brookville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Leroy Grossman and Olive Ruth Aber Grossman. She grew up and went to school in the Cochranton Area. She was a very giving person and was of the Methodist faith. Catherine enjoyed drawing, bingo, singing hymns, loved garage sales, but most of all she enjoyed a good laugh and making others laugh as well. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Dalton of Meadville and Christina; two grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary Dalton; a sister, Olive Kuzan of Greenville; a brother, Robert Grossman of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, June Myers; and four brothers, Tom, Richard, Harold, and Johnny Grossman. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 3:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph Street, Meadville, with Pastor Tim Jordan and Pastor Doug Messerall, officiating.
